Welcome to Green Drinks Gathering in Penang!

It's Earth Day on April 22 this month! So let's gather up and celebrate our precious mother earth day together.

Featuring: Mr. Ong Kung Wai, Chair of Organic Association Malaysia (OAM)

At our first Green Drinks, the interest on where to find organic and healthy food was one of the top topics of conversation (how can we not talk about food in Penang). Thanks to the awesome discussion I had with Ding at Justlife, he introduced me to OAM. I contacted Mr. Ong and he has graciously agreed to come introduce us all to OAM and its directory. In addition, Mr. Ong has been involved in organic certification standards in Europe and here for many years. So, come get inspired once more by another local green success story! How fortunate are we to have Mr. Ong located right in Penang.

Come on out and bring your green ideas and share with like-minded Penangites. Let's mingle and make Penang a greener island together.

Those who want to share on Earth Day and make our Penang greener, please feel free to bring a gift to exchange. I will bring some seeds from my little organic (from homemade compost - zero synthetic fertilizer and herbicide) condo patio patch to share with anyone wanting to grow your own too. Will harvest some of the sweet basil leaves to share too. Greener cleaner Penang!

Five27 owners and management have kindly agreed to host our gathering during their happy hours once again (it's 5-7pm, feel free to come early and get the party mood going). If you have never experienced Nordic food, you may want to consider staying on for dinner. Quite a few people stayed on last month.
